ISLAMABAD: 13 March, 2026: Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, visited various security checkpoints in Islamabad City on the occasion of Youm-ul-Quds. On this occasion, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, reviewed the security arrangements for processions related to Youm-ul-Quds. Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, directed the police officers and personnel deployed on duty to perform their official duties with full diligence. Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that over 3,500 officers and personnel of Islamabad Police are deployed on duty to ensure effective security arrangements. During the briefing, it was informed that strict security arrangements have been made around all mosques and Imam Bargahs including the Shah Faisal Mosque, and entry and exit points across the City are being monitored to ensure effective security measures. IG Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, said that in this regard, special pickets have also been established at various locations in the Federal Capital, Islamabad. During the briefing, it was said that effective patrolling by well-equipped contingents of Islamabad Police is also ongoing across the City. Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, said that the top priority of Islamabad Police is to ensure the protection of the lives and property of citizens. Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, said that in accordance with the directives of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, comprehensive measures are being taken to continuously strengthen security across the City and all resources are being utilized in this regard. He further added that the best security arrangements and the protection of the lives and property of citizens in the Federal Capital, Islamabad, are our top priority.
