CDA Chairman Reviews Progress of Sector Development, Directs Early Possession of Plots

ISLAMABAD: 11 March, 2026: A meeting was held on Thursday at CDA Headquarters regarding the progress being made in sector development under the chairmanship of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Administration and Estate, Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning and Design, Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch and other senior officers. Discussions were held in the meeting regarding development work in new sectors and the handing over of possession to plot owners. During the meeting, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, while reviewing the progress in sector development, directed that possession of developed plots be handed over at the earliest. Briefing the Chairman CDA on the progress of development works in Sector C-14, the relevant officers informed that the work on basic infrastructure in Sector C-14 has been completed. Similarly, work on providing over 95 percent of electricity has also been completed. It was briefed that the installation of light poles on the main thoroughfares has also been completed. Likewise, the installation of signboards on the roads and streets of Sector C-14 has been completed. The meeting was further informed that landscaping and horticulture work on the main roads is also progressing rapidly by the Environment Wing. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that a digital board be installed at the entrance points of Sector C-14. He directed the relevant officers to personally visit Sector C-14 and review the development activities so that the process of handing over possession in the new sectors can be formally initiated. Briefing the CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa regarding the ongoing development activities in Sector C-15, the relevant officers informed that sub-base work is in progress on approximately 37 streets of Sector C-15. It was further briefed that the process of obtaining an NOC for the railway bridge in Sector C-15 and the services of a consultant for its design will be acquired soon. Discussions were held in the meeting regarding the ongoing development activities in Sector E-12. It was briefed that sub-base work on roads in sub-sectors 1 and 2 of Sector E-12 is nearing completion. Similarly, work on the main roads around the commercial center in Sector E-12 is progressing rapidly. It was further briefed that work on electricity supply in Sector E-12 is also progressing swiftly. The progress of development works in Sector I-12 was also reviewed during the meeting. The meeting was informed that development work in Sector I-12 is nearing completion, while work on the service road in Sector I-12 is being initiated. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the timely completion of the work to install signboards on the main roads and streets in all sectors. He said that e-maps should be prepared for the location of plots in all new sectors. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the electricity issue in Park Enclave be resolved soon, road carpeting work be ensured and encroachments be eliminated. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that providing the best residential facilities to citizens in the Federal Capital Islamabad is among the top priorities of the CDA. He further said that by removing all obstacles hindering the development works in the sectors, the timely handing over of possession of plots to the citizens will be ensured.
