Chairman CDA, Bahraini Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Embassy Land Allocation

ISLAMABAD: July 1, 2026: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Sohail Ashraf, met with the Ambassador of Bahrain, The Ambassador of Bahrain to Pakistan is H.E. Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed Abdul qader, at CDA Headquarters on Wednesday. Chairman CDA welcomed the Bahraini Ambassador to CDA Headquarters. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including the further strengthening of bilateral relations, were discussed. Chairman CDA Sohail Ashraf said that Pakistan views its relations with its brotherly Islamic country, Bahrain with great respect and high regard. H.E Bahraini Ambassador remarked that deep historical, cultural and religious fraternal ties exist between Pakistan and Bahrain. During the meeting, Ambassador praised the beauty and greenery of the Federal Capital, Islamabad. Chairman CDA, during the meeting, highlighted various urban challenges, including climate change and said that CDA adheres to a zero-tolerance policy against encroachments and illegal constructions to preserve the beauty of the Federal Capital, Islamabad. He further said that awareness campaigns are being conducted among the citizens of Islamabad to avoid all types of construction on water channels and natural watercourses. During the meeting, discussions were also held regarding the allocation of land for the Bahraini Embassy in the Diplomatic Enclave. Chairman CDA assured that CDA would extend all possible cooperation in providing land for the Embassy. The meeting also reiterated the commitment to further strengthening cooperation in other areas of mutual interest and reinforcing ties at the city level.
