ISLAMABAD: February 7, 2026: Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited PIMS Hospital on Saturday, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon and other relevant officers. He expressed deep sorrow and grief over the suicide bombing incident at the Tarlai Imambargah. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the injured under treatment at PIMS Hospital and directed the hospital administration to provide the best medical facilities to the injured. He said that all possible medical facilities and care will be provided to the injured patients. Subsequently, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon and other relevant officers, also visited Tarlai Imambargah Khatija-ul-Kubra. Repair and reconstruction work has commenced at Tarlai Imambargah Khatija-ul-Kubra. Chairman CDA directed that the repair and reconstruction works of the Imambargah be completed promptly. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa also offered special prayers for the forgiveness and elevated ranks of the martyrs of the blast. He said that he strongly condemns, in the strongest terms, the cowardly blast that occurred during Friday prayers at Imambargah and Masjid Khatija-ul-Kubra. Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that targeting places of worship is a blatant attack on humanity, peace and religious harmony. He said we express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of those martyred in this tragic incident and share equally in their grief during this difficult and trying time. Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that we pray to the Almighty for the swift recovery of the injured. He said may Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of the martyrs and grant the bereaved families patience. He further said that we are taking comprehensive security measures to prevent such unfortunate incidents in the Federal Capital, Islamabad, in the future.
