CDA Decides to Implement Cashless Economy system.

Islamabad: (August 6, 2025): Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired an important meeting at CDA Headquarters which was attended by Member Admin and Member Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Finance, Tahir Naeem, Member Planning, Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment, Esfandyar Baloch, Member Engineering, Syed Nafasat Raza, DG Resources, Director IT, CDA and other senior officers. In line with the directions of Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi and under the leadership of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, CDA has decided to implement a cashless system in CDA. Chairman CDA instructed all concerned that the cashless economy system should be introduced and implemented in CDA across various departments of CDA, ensuring that QR codes are used not only to enforce the cashless system but also to take all necessary measures for digitalisation so that citizens can easily pay for various CDA services including property tax, water charges, land transfer, parking fees and other services of CDA through cash less system. Chairman CDA said that the cashless system would not only promote transparency but also help make the delivery of public services easier, faster, and more efficient. He emphasized that CDA would take all possible measures to transform Islamabad from a safe city to a smart capital city. During the meeting, it was decided that QR code-based payments would be introduced at CDA offices and facilitation centers. Additionally, online portals and mobile applications would also be established in collaboration with banks. Furthermore, CDA staff training and public awareness campaigns would also be launched. Chairman CDA also directed further activation of the One-Window Facilitation Center alongside the implementation of the cashless system. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa also instructed all relevant departments of CDA to take necessary steps to ensure that citizens are provided with best of the best modern and online facilities for digital and cashless payments for various CDA services. This will enable citizens to make payments for all CDA services via QR codes under the cashless system.
