ISLAMABAD: April 6, 2026: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Sohail Ashraf, formally assumed his office on Monday. He met with members of the CDA Board as well as other senior officers. During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding the overall performance, administrative matters, and ongoing projects of CDA. CDA Board members and relevant officers presented updates and details pertaining to their respective areas of responsibility. On this occasion, Chairman CDA was briefed on the administrative structure of the organization. Sohail Ashraf was also updated on the status of ongoing initatives, infrastructure improvements, public service delivery and other key projects. Chairman CDA Sohail Ashraf said that all projects should be completed within the stipulated time to ensure that citizens can benefit from improved facilities as soon as possible. He emphasized that the timely completion of development projects in the Federal Capital must be ensured under all circumstances. Chairman CDA further said that effective measures should be taken to improve administrative matters of the CDA and to enhance service delivery. He directed that transparency and efficiency be ensured in the provision of public facilities. Additionally, he highlighted that technology-based reforms will be implemented to further improve the performance and services.
