Islamabad, October 2, 2026: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has achieved a historic milestone by successfully retrieving more than 1,000 kanals of worth billions of rupees, in Sector E-12, Islamabad, after more than four decades, paving the way for the long awaited and accelerated development of the sector in E-12, Islamabad. The landmark achievement has been accomplished under the dynamic leadership of Federal Minister for Interior, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, and the able and effective supervision of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad. The successful retrieval of more than 1000 kanal land of worthy billions of rupees land is the result of coordinated and sustained efforts by all formations of the CDA, Deputy DG Enforcement, CEO, MCI working in close collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, ADC (G), ADC (R), Islamabad Police and the concerned Assistant Commissioners. The coordinated efforts of CDA's Estate, Planning, Building, Environment, Administration and Finance formations, Deputy DG Enforcement, CEO MCI along with the relevant enforcement teams, played a pivotal role in addressing longstanding issues and facilitating the retrieval of the valuable land. The recovered land, comprising more than 1,000 kanals and worth billions of rupees, represents a significant public asset. Its retrieval has removed a major impediment to the planned development of Sector E-12 and will enable the CDA to undertake development works in accordance with the approved planning framework. Following the successful retrieval of the land, the CDA has commenced development activities in Sector E-12 at full pace, with the objective of accelerating the completion and development of the sector in the coming months. Necessary infrastructure and civic development works are being undertaken to provide modern roads, essential municipal infrastructure and improved civic facilities for the future residents of the sector. The retrieval of more than 1,000 kanals of land after more than four decades marks a significant breakthrough in resolving one of the longstanding impediments to the development of Sector E-12, Islamabad. The achievement reflects the CDA's commitment to protecting public land, resolving longstanding issues, removing obstacles to planned development and ensuring the proper utilisation of valuable land in accordance with the approved Master Plan of Islamabad. Citizens and residents have appreciated the historic retrieval of more than 1,000 kanals of worthy billions of rupees land and the subsequent commencement of development activities in Sector E-12. They expressed their appreciation for the sincere efforts of Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and effective supervision of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner, Islamabad as well as all members of CDA and field teams of the CDA, Deputy DG Enforcement, CEO MCI, Islamabad Administration and Islamabad Police who contributed to the successful retrieval of the land.
