CDA to Introduce Electric Double Decker Buses to Facilitate Citizens and Tourists in Sightseeing of Beautiful Capital of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, September 24, 2026: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is taking a significant new initiative to facilitate citizens as well as domestic and international tourists in sightseeing and exploring the natural beauty, scenic landscapes, recreational attractions and iconic landmarks of Islamabad, the beautiful capital of Pakistan, through the introduction of modern electric double decker buses. The double decker buses will provide sightseeing services to citizens and visitors with a comfortable, convenient, accessible and environment friendly means of exploring Islamabad, enabling them to enjoy the city's scenic beauty and visit its major recreational, heritage and tourist destinations through a dedicated sightseeing circuit. Chairman CDA said that Islamabad holds a unique position as the capital of Pakistan and is renowned for its natural beauty, lush green surroundings, scenic landscapes, planned development and prominent recreational and heritage destinations. He said CDA is continuously working to provide modern facilities for citizens and visitors and to further enhance the tourism experience in the federal capital. The Chairman said the introduction of electric double decker buses would provide citizens and tourists with a new, convenient and enjoyable way to see and experience Islamabad, particularly its scenic viewpoints, parks, landmarks and other recreational destinations. *"Islamabad is the beautiful capital of Pakistan and is blessed with exceptional natural beauty, scenic landscapes and a wide range of recreational and heritage attractions. Our objective is to facilitate not only tourists but also the citizens of Islamabad and visitors from across Pakistan so that they can conveniently explore and enjoy the beauty of their capital. The electric double decker buses will operate on a dedicated sightseeing circuit connecting more than 15 major recreational and heritage destinations across Islamabad, providing citizens and tourists an opportunity to explore multiple attractions through a convenient and organized service. The route includes prominent destinations such as Lake View Park, Shakarparian, Pakistan Monument, Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh and D-Chowk, besides other important recreational, scenic and heritage locations.
