ISLAMABAD: 17 December, 2025 : The Vice Chancellor Quaid-e-Azam University, Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar called upon Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, at the CDA Headquarters. The meeting was also attended by Member Administration Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Muhammad Murtaza Noor Senior Alumnus of Quaid-e-Azam University and other senior officers. Detailed discussions were held during the meeting regarding the land-related issues and other administrative matters of Quaid-e-Azam University. The meeting discussed conducting a survey of Quaid-e-Azam University's land. In this regard, it was agreed to proceed with the survey, identify encroachments, and take legal action as per the statutory requirements. Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, said that CDA will play its full role in eliminating all kinds of encroachments on Quaid-e-Azam University's land. He said that CDA is actively engaged in eradicating encroachments across Islamabad. Chairman CDA remarked that mutual coordination could be further strengthened through CDA's representation in the Syndicate of Quaid-e-Azam University. He added that access to top-tier human resources could be possible through an internship program between Quaid-e-Azam University and CDA. There is a need to promote linkages between educational institutions and industry in this regard. Vice Chancellor Quaid-e-Azam University, Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar, said that linkages between industry and universities can promote applied research, innovation and employment opportunities. During the meeting, both sides also reiterated their commitment to further strengthening mutual relations.
