Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa Chairs 16th Board Meeting at CDA Headquarters

ISLAMABAD: September 18, 2025 – The 16th meeting of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board was held on Thursday at CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Board members and relevant officers, where several key agenda items were approved. The Board approved waiving charges for grave digging and coffin carrier bus services to provide relief and facilities to citizens. The Chairman also directed that additional coffin carrier buses be provided to graveyards in Islamabad. To improve health services, the Board approved measures for upgrading the Capital Hospital, including revision of the fee structure for private patients under the Institutional Based Private Practice (IBPP). It was decided that the revenue generated would be reinvested in hospital improvements. Chairman CDA further directed the provision of modern computers and equipment to digitize hospital operations and implement a cashless system. The CDA Internship Policy 2025 was also approved. Under this policy, graduates from Pakistan’s top public and private universities will be recruited transparently on merit, meeting CDA’s human resource needs while offering young professionals practical exposure. The meeting further approved: Allocation of land for an ANF office near the New Islamabad International Airport. Allocation of land for a new police station in Islamabad. A proposal to name Service Road (East) in Sector F-10 as “Arshad Nadeem Road”, to be sent to the Federal Government for approval. A rental agreement with Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) for use of the landfill site, along with an extension of RWMC’s service period for transporting Islamabad’s municipal solid waste to Chak Beli Khan Road, Rawalpindi. Adoption of rules and procedures for the upgradation of Statistical Assistant employees in Grades 15 and 16, in line with the Finance Division’s Office Memorandum dated 16.12.2019. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in implementing all decisions. He reaffirmed that the development of Islamabad, provision of the best civic facilities, and beautification of the city remain top priorities of CDA, and all available resources are being utilized for this purpose.
