CDA Organizes Student-Focused Community Market at Fatima Jinnah Park to Promote Youth Entrepreneurship

ISLAMABAD: January 25, 2026: In line with the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the successful organization of unique community markets continues in the Federal Capital Islamabad. In this connection, a special community market for students and citizens has been organized at Fatima Jinnah Park, near Gandhara Citizen Centre, F-9. The primary objective of organizing this community market is to promote a trend of business and entrepreneurship among the youth. Similarly, the purpose of this market is to nurture the creative and constructive abilities of the youth so that young people and the coming generation can be encouraged and the spirit of business can be promoted. Furthermore, this Community Market aims to provide citizens with direct access to quality and unique products. Young students from various universities and other educational institutions of the Federal Capital Islamabad participated in this special community market. A large number of citizens, especially families, participated in this special market organized under the administration of CDA. Similarly, handmade products, art and crafts, creative designs and modern technology-based projects are also being presented to the general public. This special market is receiving particular appreciation from students, citizens, and families. On this occasion, Chief Officer MCI, Dr. Anam Fatima, said that such events are being held regularly at various community spaces and locations within Islamabad city. The timings for this special market are set from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM. On the instructions of Chairman CDA, the Environment Wing distributed environmentally friendly plants among the citizens at this special market to run an awareness campaign for promoting tree plantation among citizens and to highlight the importance of tree plantation. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhwa said that the model of such community markets should be extended to other parks and public places in the Federal Capital Islamabad so that not only do young people get more opportunities, but quality entertainment and shopping opportunities for citizens can also be established. He further said that the purpose of these measures is to promote new business ideas among the youth, highlight their creative abilities, and promote recreational facilities in the Capital City Islamabad.
