CDA, OPF and Overseas Investors Discuss Investment Opportunities in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: October 7, 2025: Managing Director of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Mohammad Afzaal Bhatti, along with a delegation of overseas investors, called on Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on Tuesday at the CDA Headquarters. The meeting was attended by Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, DG Building & Housing Control, DG Resource, and other senior officers. The meeting included detailed discussions on promoting foreign investment in Islamabad and exploring partnership opportunities across various development projects. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa highlighted that excellent investment opportunities are available in Islamabad. He stated that investments can be made through joint venture models, offering investors attractive options in multiple sectors. He added that CDA is providing all possible facilitation to investors and is currently working on several projects to promote the hotel and hospitality industry in the capital. He further mentioned that efforts are underway to develop state-of-the-art sports facilities, including a feasibility study for the construction of an Olympic Village in Islamabad. These initiatives aim to position Islamabad as an international city. The investors’ delegation expressed keen interest in various development projects, particularly in the hospitality sector. It was agreed during the meeting that both sides would work together to explore the best investment opportunities in the capital. Chairman CDA emphasized that these projects will be mutually beneficial for both the investors and CDA while contributing to the city’s development. He reiterated CDA’s commitment to prioritizing partnerships and providing full support to investors.
