CDA Accelerates Sector Development; Possession of Plots Begins in Sector I-15

ISLAMABAD: November 12, 2025: In line with the directions of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the pace of sector development in the federal capital has been further accelerated. Under the new directives, development work is being initiated in pending sectors, while possession of plots in completed sectors has also commenced. In this regard, tenders for development works in Sectors C-16/1 and C-16/2 have been published in newspapers. The estimated cost for these works is Rs. 5 billion. Similarly, tenders worth Rs. 67 million have been issued for the completion of road infrastructure, culverts, and remaining development work in Sector C-15. Moreover, after decades of delay, the CDA will begin handing over possession of plots to owners in Sector I-15 from Thursday, November 13, 2025. A ceremony to mark the occasion will be held at the Jinnah Convention Centre. On the instructions of Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, development work in under-construction sectors has been expedited. As a result, development in Sectors C-14 and I-12 has now entered its final stages, and possession of plots to allottees will begin within the next few months. Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed all officers concerned with sector development to remain in the field to ensure timely completion. He emphasized that developed plots in new sectors should be handed over without delay. The Chairman added that, alongside mega development projects in Islamabad, sector development to meet the residential needs of citizens remains among the top priorities of the CDA.
