25 kanals of QAU’s land retrieved after removal of encroachments
ISLAMABAD: March 6, 2023: On the request of Quaid-e-Azam University, Capital Development Authority on Monday, with the assistance of the district administration and Islamabad Police, cleared all the buildings near the gate of Quaid-e-Azam University.
The encroachments were demolished with the help of heavy machinery and more than 25 kanals of government land were cleared.
According to details, in this operation, 83 illegal shops, 2 new houses and 2 four walls were constructed on government land while taking action against the occupation mafia, and 25 kanals of government land were destroyed with the help of heavy machinery.

It should be noted that for the past several months, CDA has been engaged in continuous operations against illegal encroachments and constructions in the federal capital, due to which government land worth billions of rupees has been confiscated. CDA has also been providing support to various institutions for the elimination of encroachments from the land allotted to them.
