CDA Chairman Visits 7th Avenue Interchange Project

Islamabad:   The Chairman of the Capital Development Authority visited the Seventh Avenue Interchange project on Saturday. Officers of relevant departments were also present on the occasion.

Briefing the Chairman Capital Development Authority on the occasion, it was informed that the construction work of the bridge including the underpass has been completed while the work of loops from 7th Avenue to Chand Tara Chowk has entered the final stages. Work is in full swing and will be completed ahead of schedule. It was informed on the occasion that the project was launched in October 2021 and was to be completed in October 2022. However, due to the special interest of the current Capital Development Authority administration, the project should be opened to the public by August 14, 2022.  

In addition, the team working on Seventh Avenue was given the task of conducting a detailed survey for Green Line Metro Bus Service Station. In this regard, the Director Traffic Engineering, Director Metro Bus Service has started a detailed survey. In this regard, two stations have been identified.

On this occasion, the Chairman Capital Development Authority, while instructing the concerned departments, said that landscaping and maximum tree planting should be done by identifying suitable places around the project and also issued instructions regarding the beauty of the project including underpass. He said that the beautification work of the project should also be started soon for which a presentation would be prepared soon and presented before the Chairman Capital Development Authority.

 

On this occasion, the Chairman Capital Development Authority, while instructing the concerned departments, said that the pace of work should be further expedited and high quality of work should be ensured in all circumstances and all available to complete the project ahead of schedule.
