Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA distributed prizes among the students of ICB

Islamabad: March 14, 2017: Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz said that it is the dire need of the hour to equip our youth with latest technology and education so that they could not only cope with the future challenges but also play their due role in the prosperity and development of the country.

Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Shiekh Anser Aziz expressed these views while addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony of Islamabad College for Boys (ICB) here on Tuesday. On this occasion a large number of students, parents, Office bearers of ICB alumni foundation and teachers were also present. While addressing the ceremony, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA said that under Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s educational reforms not only more facilities are being provided in the educational institutes of the federal capital but also latest techniques are being utilized to bring government educational instituted parallel to the private educational institutes. He said that in the first phase all schools are being upgraded, latest technologies are being provided and over all environment of these institutes is also being improved in addition to the provision of state of the art laboratories so that our youth could be prepared inline with the future challenges. Moreover, 200 buses have also been provided by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the different institutes of the city, Mayor further added. Addressing to the students, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz said that being the future of the nation, students should work hard so that they could be able to play their due role in the future development of the country.

While lauding the efforts of management of ICB, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz said that efforts for maintaining the credibility of the oldest institute of the city ICB management and ICB Alumni Foundation has played a commendable role. He said that students of this institute are playing a pivotal role in all walks of life which reflects the hard work and commitment of the teachers. On this occasion, Principal ICB, Dr. Muhammad Rafique Sandalvi briefed the Mayor of Islamabad about the results and achievements of the college. He also informed the Mayor of Islamabad about the problems face by the college. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz distributed prizes among the students. Dr. Muhammad Rafique Sandalvi presented a shield to the Mayor of Islamabad.
