Senior Head Draftsman suspended due to reported irregularities
Islamabad: February 9, 2017: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has placed the services of Raja Zafar Mehmood, Senior Head Draftsman under suspension. Raja Zafar Mehmood, Senior Head Draftsman was posted in Water Supply Directorate of Capital Development Authority. The order for suspension from service has taken effect immediately. The action against Raja Zafar Mehmood, Senior Head Draftsman, Water Supply Directorate has been put under suspension under Regulation 8.05 of CDA Employees Service Regulation, 1992. The services of Raja Zafar Mehmood have been put under suspension due to reported irregularities on illegal occupation of different Farm Houses located at Islamabad. The suspension orders have been issued with the approval of the Chairman, CDA.
Member Administration, CDA, Muhammad Yasir Peerzad has said that present CDA Administration has zero tolerance for corrupt practices and the corrupt. Sustained efforts are underway to discourage corruption in the Authority.Suspension from service orders of Raja Zafar Mehmood have been issued on February 09, 2017. The suspended official has been given the right to draw subsistence grant equal to full pay and allowances that he was drawing immediately before his suspension. The copies of the suspension order have been forwarded to concerned formations for information and compliance.
Inauguration of polio eradication camp established by the Directorate of Health Services
Islamabad, February 11, 2017: Eradication of Polio is our national obligation. Healthy generation is the guarantee of prosperous Pakistan. Islamabad has the honor of polio free city and MCI would utilize all available resources to retain this honor. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz said this on eve of inauguration of anti-polio camp here at Merabadia on Saturday. The camp has been established jointly by the Directorate of Health Services and Pakistan Rotary Club. On this occasion, senior officers of CDA and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and representative of Pakistan Rotary Club were also present.
While addressing the ceremony, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that the whole world is taking measures for eradication of polio, adding that we should also take effective measures to cope with menace of polio. He said that establishment of anti-polio camp in Merabadia is the dire need of the hour as the vicinity is exposed to possible polio threat and is among the marked high risk zones. Therefore, timely and effective measures would help protect the children from the disease.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that all concerned formations of MCI and CDA are participating in campaign against polio, to administer polio drops to more than 150,000 children, under the age of 5 years in the Federal Capital. He said that all formations of MCI and CDA have been directed not only to provide human resource, machinery and other resources to Directorate of Health Services (DHS) but ensure their assistance to the DHS till the successful accomplishment of anti polio drive.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz hailed the cooperation of Pakistan Rotary Club and said that eradication of polio from the country is our national obligation. He said that polio free status of Islamabad is a great honour and all possible measures would be taken to retain this honour with the cooperation of Rotary Club, UNICEF, WHO.On this occasion, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz administered anti-polio drops to the children and visited different stalls established by Rotary Club for awareness purposes.
