| CDA Management Upgrades the Pay Scales of low paid employees. |
Islamabad, February 26, 2010: The CDA Board in its special meeting agreed to the long outstanding demand of CDA workers for up-gradation of their pay scales. The decision of the CDA Management sent a wave of jubilation amongst CDA workers. While talking to the Employees of the CDA the Chairman, CDA Mr. Imtiaz Inayat Elahi congratulated the workers for their up-gradation and stated that both the Unions, the present CBA (CDA Mazdoor Union) and CDA Employees Federation (Mazdoor Dost Group) have been instrumental for bringing about this decision. He also explained that the decision was meant for general good of the workers irrespective of their affiliation. He expressed the hope that the workers will reciprocate this gesture by working hard and efficiently for improving the working of CDA. The Employees have thanked the CDA Management for meeting their demand. They also expressed their gratitude to the present Government specially the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan for taking concrete measures for the welfare of workers and low paid employees which is also in line with the manifesto of the Pakistan Peoples Party. The CDA management has also approved Computer Allowance at the rate of Rs. 500/- per month to all LDCs/ Inquiry Clerks, UDCs and Assistants, subject to the condition that official shall produce their certificate of training in computer learning. In addition the Special Allowance for all Fire & Rescue Staff (BPS-1 to 16 non gazzeted) @ of Rs. 1000/- per month has also been approved. The nomenclature of the posts which has been upgraded from existing pay scale of 3, 4 and 5 to pay scale 7 include Painters, Blacksmiths, Polishers, Fabricator, Storeman, Welders/Steel Welder, Vulcanizer, Monitoring Desk Attendant, Fireman, Keymaker/Key Mechanic, Stitcher, V/Operator, Cook, Head room Attendant, Stitcher tailor, Head Mali, Budder, Tracer, Jr. Upholster, Jr. Vulcanizer, Jr. Welder, Sr. Denter &Jr. Denter (BPS-3), Armature Welder, Cane Mechanic, Carpet Stitcher, Jr. Turner, Motor Attendant, Chlorinator Attendant,Tailors, Sr. Dainter, Tracer, LTV Driver, Dak Runner, Khadim, Mozzin, Despatch Rider. Drilling Asstt:, Chemical Attendant. Those which have been upgraded from existing pay scale 8 and 9 to pay scale 11 are Supervisors, Lady Health visitor, ASK Medical. The upgradation from the old pay scale of 5, 6 and 7 has been made to pay scale 9 for the posts of ASK, Leading Fireman, All Fitters, All Mechanics, Artificer, CS Attendant, All Operators including tractor operator, All Mechanics i.e Lift, AC, Gas, Pump, Kitchen, Field Assistant, CE Road, Carpenter, Masson, Plumber, Meter Mechanic, Auto Mechanic, Jr. Radiographer, Fero Printer/Operator, Midwife, Wardmaster, Vaccinator., Dispenser, Phlebotomists. The storekeepers working in pay scale 12 has been up graded to pay scale 14 , the inspectors working in pay scale 8,10 and 11 have been upgraded to pay scale 16, the chief sanitary workers in pay scale 13 has been enhanced to pay scale 16 in addition to additional allowance of Rs. 2000 per month the Artificer, Engine room Attendant in pay scale 7 has been upgraded to pay scale 10, the Technicians each cadres Hospital, DHS Physio theraphy Asstt/DentalHygenist , all Surveyors Head Radiographer, Sub Station operator grid, Horticulture Assistant, Divisional Head D/man, Telephone Operator in Govt. Hostel, Caretaker, Modler working in pay scale 9, 10 and 11 has been elevated to pay scale 14, the Malies, Chainman, Grave Digger, Telephone Attendant, Room Attendants, Zoo Attendant, Halpers, Hammerman,Guage Reader, Sewerman, Gutterman, Khalasi. Skilled Coolie, Greecer, Naib Qasid, Frash, Beldars, Cleaners, Khakroob, Loader D.R. Attendant ,Washerman,Pressman,All Attendants of hospital, Pond Keeper (to be promoted as Forest Guard on seniority-cum-fitness basis) Lunch room Attendant, Waiter, Laundryman, Mashki. Bus conductor Watchman, Gatekeeper Gunman, EX-Ray Attendant , Searcher, vehicle cleaner in pay scale 1, 2, 3 and 4 to pay scale 5, Asst: Draftsman, Head Wardmaster (CDA hospital) in pay scale 8 to pay scale 11, the Forest Guard in pay scale 5 to pay scale 9 (now placed in BPS-9 shall undergo a relevant training course afterwards by department). Mates,Martar mate, Valveman, record sorter, Lab./Field Attendant,Ayia/Wardboy in pay scale 2, 3 and 4 to pay scale 6, Sr. Molder, Turner, Sr. Upholster, Sr. Vulcanizer, Sr. Welder, Steel Metal Workers St. Light Examiner, Jr. Lab. Asstt:/Lab Asstt:(in all labs) , Field Asstt: , All Electricians /Lineman in pay scale 6 to pay scale 8, Forester (now placed in BPS-11 shall undergo a relevant training course afterwards by department) Working in 7 to pay scale 7 to pay scale 11, Asstt: Telephone Supervisor from 13 to 15, Plant/Lift/Workshop Superintendent from 8 and 11 to 14, Chief Light Inspector from 13 to 16, Fire Instructor from 10 to 12, HTV drivers, Operators working on heavy machinery, Sr. Mechanics , Chargeman, Drillring, Radiographer from 9 to 11, Sr. Sub.Station Operator from 13 to 15 , Jr. Research Asstt. from 10/12 to 14, Projectionist Anomaly removed in the existing Pay scales in the two laboratories from 5 to 14 where as the Foreman from 10 to 12. The present incumbents of these posts will be up-graded along with their posts. However, the up gradation will not be applicable for the fresh recruited/employees. In case the officials appointed on or after 01.03.2010 are not elevated to higher posts during five years, they will be granted the upgraded scales according to the Notification. |
