The Directorate of Water and Sewerage Development is responsible for planning and execution of all new schemes/projects related to water supply and sewerage development in Islamabad.

Simly Dam Project and its Water Treatment Plants, 3rd Conduction Main of Simly, Sangjani Water Treatment Plant, Augmentation Scheme (Poona Faquiran), construction of Tube Wells and Service reservoirs etc. are some of the major Projects that have been successfully executed by this Directorate.

There are three offices working under administrative control of this Directorate namely, Zone-A Division, R/A Zone Division and the BWM Cell.
